Eligibility checker

We know how time-consuming fundraising can be, and we don’t want you to waste your time completing an application if you do not meet our criteria. So before you start an application it is important that you check you are eligible to apply to our grant programmes. You will need to answer a 4 questions and it will only take a few minutes to complete.

Please note: we have recently updated our grants criteria so please ensure you read them carefully before you start your application.

Step 1 of 4

Eligibility criteria for all grants

Please read the statements below and tick to confirm they are correct:

PHF Eligibility Criteria - Checkbox 1

The organisation is either a registered charity or a registered CASC (Community Amateur Sports Club)

PHF Eligibility Criteria - Checkbox 2

The charity / CASC has been registered for at least 2 years, and has audited or externally examined accounts for at least 1 full year of operation

PHF Eligibility Criteria - Checkbox 3

The application is for a project or activity that supports people living with a disability and/or living in the most deprived areas of the UK (IMD deciles 1-4)

PHF Eligibility Criteria - Checkbox 4

The organisation has not applied for a grant from PHF within the last 12 months (the 12 month period starts from the date you were notified of the outcome of your application)

PHF Eligibility Criteria - Checkbox 5

The organisation has not held an active grant from PHF within the last 2 years (the 2 year period starts from the date the final grant report was submitted)

Active Lives

Enabling life-enhancing opportunities for individuals living in the most disadvantaged areas in the UK who encounter physical, mental, social, or economic barriers.

Using participation in grassroots sport/physical activity as a catalyst to develop personal and life skills, assisting individuals in discovering and fulfilling their potential.

Positive Futures

Enhancing the lives of children and young people living in the most disadvantaged areas in the South East of England who encounter physical, mental, social, or economic barriers.

This application is for work that will be delivered in the UK

Programe eligibility - Active Lives - Checkbox 2

This application is for work that will provide opportunities for personal or skills development through participation in physical activity

Programe eligibility - Active Lives - Checkbox 3

This application is for work that will meet the needs of people who are living with disabilities and / or living in the top 40% most deprived areas in the UK (as defined by IMD)

Programe eligibility - Active Lives - Checkbox 4

You are applying for between £5,001 - £30,000

Programe eligibility - Active Lives - Checkbox 5

Your charity / CASC's annual income is less than £5,000,000

Positive Futures eligibility criteria

Please read the statements below and tick to confirm they are correct:

Programe eligibility - Positive Futures - Checkbox 1

This application is for work that will be delivered in the South East of England (Berkshire; Buckinghamshire; Hampshire; Isle of Wight; Kent; Oxfordshire; Surrey; East Sussex; and West Sussex only. Projects located in Greater London are not eligible.)

Programe eligibility - Positive Futures - Checkbox 2

This application is for work that will meet the needs of children and young people 0—18 years old (or up to 25 years old for projects working with young people with special needs)

Programe eligibility - Positive Futures - Checkbox 3

This application is for work that will meet the needs of children and young people who are living with disabilities and / or living in the top 40% most deprived areas in the South East (as defined by IMD)

Programe eligibility - Positive Futures - Checkbox 4

You are applying for between £5,001 - £30,000

Programe eligibility - Positive Futures - Checkbox 5

Your charity / CASC's annual is income less than £5,000,000
