Panathlon Superstars!

On Wednesday 3rd June 82 students from 7 schools competed in the Surrey Final of the Panathlon challenge for disabled children. Congratulations to the Ridgeway & Sunbury Manor team who won the overall competition and are the new Surrey Champions. They now qualify to represent Surrey at the South East Regional competition later in the year.

Paralympian Helen Turner was on hand to inspire the competitors and award the medals. She said, “It’s fantastic to return once again to Panathlon and see the enthusiastic spirit of all the competitors.”

Panathlon has received a three year grant of £30,000 a year from the Foundation, to help thousands of disabled youngsters across 30 counties to take part in competitive sport.
